June 14, 2008 - With the theme “Adult AD/HD: People, Purpose & Passion – Pathways for Success,” the conference is designed to help individuals with AD/HD, their partners and families, healthcare professionals, coaches, human resource professionals and others learn how to help themselves and others manage adult life with AD/HD. Through a variety of educational formats, the conference will offer participants the most up-to-date scientific and practical information, as well as the opportunity to network and connect with others who face the many challenges of living with AD/HD.
Each of the three full days of the conference will feature a keynote presentation by a renowned speaker on a topic vital to the AD/HD community. On Friday, July 11, adult ADD therapist and author Sari Solden will discuss “A ‘Whole’ New View of Success – Aiming for Wholeness Instead of Perfection.” Saturday will bring the charm and expertise of former Harvard instructor, best selling author and internationally renowned child and adult psychiatrist Dr. Ned Hallowell who will speak about “Unwrapping the Gifts of the Mind.” And on Sunday, Dr. John Ratey, psychiatrist at Harvard Medical School and expert on the effects of exercise on the brain, will wrap up the conference with a closing grand finale presentation entitled “That Spark for Success.”
In addition to keynote speakers, and Europe, the conference will feature exhibits and many breakout sessions with the 50 presenters coming from the US, Canada and Europe who will be focusing on the latest best practices of AD/HD and many other topics, including:
