August 15, 2008 - This US$1.4 million project will cover project management and deployment of the Cisco TelePresence 3000 solution across five locations around the world.
The Cisco TelePresence meeting solution combines high-quality audio, high-definition video and interactive technologies to create a virtual, in-person meeting experience over the network. Datacraft will deploy TelePresence solution in five locations across India, U.S., Singapore and Canada. At each endpoint, there will be plasma screens, microphones, cameras, high-definition codes, and other elements necessary to hold a virtual meeting that provides “same room” experience to the users. With the advanced audio and video technologies that come with the TelePresence solution, such meetings can also be conducted online and participants can interact in real time from any of the five locations worldwide.
The client is India’s leading international integrated telecommunications solution provider, which owns and operates one of the world’s largest mobile, data and voice networks with coverage in over 240 countries. Upon completion, the TelePresence solution will help to improve internal communications, enhance employee productivity and cut down on the need for their employees to travel between offices. As a result, the client will also enjoy substantially savings on travel expenses and even contribute to an environmental cause by reducing its carbon footprint with minimal air travel.
In addition, the client has plans to expand their suite of managed services by offering TelePresence services to its enterprise clients. With the current implementation, the client will be able to experience and understand the technology which will help in the development of their Go-to-Market strategy.
