September 29, 2008 - A prestigious international junior fencing training session organized by Luxembourg Fencing Federation and the International Charity Fund For Fencing Future is scheduled for Oct. 27th – 2nd Nov, 2008 in Luxemburg.
About 40 junior fencers from 30 countries are expected to participate in “For Future of Fencing” training event. The training session, featuring epee and foil fencing, will run through Nov. 2nd 2008. This training week takes place immediately prior to the Junior European Championship in Amsterdam and it opens the new four-year Olympic cycle.
The International Charity Fund launched the training sessions more than two years ago. Because of its success, the Federation Internationale Escrime (FIE) has held similar events. International Charity Fund For Fencing Future founder Alisher Usmanov and International Charity Fund President Alexandr Mikhailov said that such seminars are essential for the future growth of modern fencing.
“This training is integral to the development of fencing as a global sport,” Usmanov said.
