International Association Of Outsourcing Professionals Names Communications Manager And Enhances Media Services

IAOP has appointed Michael Forbes communications manager and added new services for the media covering the outsourcing industry.


(1888PressRelease) January 16, 2008 - POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y – The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals today announced it has named Michael Forbes communications manager and enhanced its communications services for members and the media.

Forbes joins the global membership-based association representing providers, customers and advisors of outsourcing services with more than 14 years of experience in marketing, advertising, trade show communications, graphic design and Web site design.

His prior positions include marketing manager for Formost Packing Machines, Inc. in Woodinville, Wash.; and marketing director of MARQ Packaging Systems, Inc. in Yakima, Wash.

Forbes holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine and a master’s of business administration with a marketing specialization from the University of Connecticut. A resident of Hyde Park, N.Y., he is also an adjunct professor of marketing at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

In addition to Forbes’ appointment, IAOP also has launched a speakers and media bureau that will match outsourcing experts with opportunities on a wide range of topics, including outsourcing in particular industry segments and geographic areas around the world.

The association also has added new features to its online newsroom to provide up-to-date information to the media and public, including current press releases and news coverage, as well as facts and statistics on IAOP and the outsourcing industry. It will continue to enhance these services.
