November 07, 2009 - In September Ryno Black, Chris Goodchild and Thys Kruger, sponsored by the Integr8 Group, joined six hundred other participants in the 1000km, four-day run.
This year’s event marked the sixth anniversary of the fund raising initiative which sees hundreds of quad bike enthusiasts tackle off-road terrain between Johannesburg and Durban and back again.
Quad-4-Quads is organised through Family Adventures, a specialist local service provider focusing on family holidays and motor sport, in order to generate much funds as possible for the benefit of mobility-impaired persons in South Africa.
More than R4 million has been raised over the past five years.
QASA has approximately six thousand members, but represents a constituency of approximately fifty thousand mobility-impaired persons throughout the country.
It has eight provincial affiliates and is regulated by a Management Committee.
Ari Seirlis, National Director of QASA and a quadriplegic himself, also took part in the event in his adapted Yamaha 700 quad bike. He was joined by Andre Venter, former Springbok, who took up a substantial challenge in his Polaris quad bike.
Another former Springbok player Wahl Bartmann also came on board this year to flank his good friend Venter.
