December 28, 2007 - The InnoVest Group visited China as part of the U.S. Outsourcing Delegation team. During the visit, David Dastvar, Managing Partner of the InnoVest met with Bob Hawke, former Prime Minister of Australia in Tianjin and Guangzhou. Mr. Hawke and Mr. Dastvar jointly visited Guangzhou University City which houses 150,000 students and 50,000 lecturers and support staff. This modern academic city is built in less than 5 years with multi-billion USD budget in an environmentally friendly atmosphere and set-up.
Beijing, Capital of China was the first stop in the tour. InnoVest visited the Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) providers like Isoftstone and GDS.
InnoVest representatives visited Shanghai International Financial Center and Wuxi City modern Outsourcing TechnoPark. Mayor of Wuxi hosted a formal luncheon for the delegation. InnoVest visited the China-Singapore industrial park of Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. InnoVest representatives visited the service providers engaged in software development, ITO and BPO. They attended and presented during the International ITO & BPO Roundtable Conference of Suzhou. In addition, they had one-to-one meetings with the domestic and foreign outsourcing suppliers in Suzhou with regards to the possibilities of M&A and contracting US clients software development to suppliers.
The first Global Outsourcing Summit held its grand opening in Tianjin, the largest coastal city in northern China this year on December 10-11, 2007. Mr. David Dastvar presented during the conference with regards to InnoVest interest in establishing IT Outsourcing operations in Tianjin and Investments in China IT Outsourcing sector. Mr. Hawke was one of the keynote speakers during this conference.
InnoVest representatives were hosted by the Government of Guangzhou in International Conference Center. Guangzhou, located in southeastern Guangdong Province of China, is the provincial capital of Guangdong. It is also the political, economic and cultural center of Guangdong Province
InnoVest representatives, Dr. Fariba Nazemi and David Dastvar attended the 3rd International Cooperation Summit for Asia-Pacific CEOs & Provincial Governors and Mayors, where they had the “Global Industry Shifts and Service Outsourcing Development” round table sessions. Mr. Dastvar presented during the IT Outsourcing business opportunities between US and China entities. He highlighted why China is preferable to India as an IT Outsourcing partner to US firms.
InnoVest also presented during the Zhengzhou International Outsourcing Conference. During this conference the ITO and BPO issues in China was discussed by SoftTech, Neuosoft, InnoVest and DarwinSuzsoft to name a few.
