Infiniti FX50 Crossover Timed Perfectly

Infiniti FX50 SUV, on sale in June 2008, is timed perfectly as consumers shy away from large SUV vehicles as shown by a February sales decline of 19.2% in GM Light Truck sales.

Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) March 06, 2008 - This week, Infiniti unveiled its second generation luxury crossover SUV at the Geneva Auto Show. The Infiniti FX35 will go on sale in the US in June 2008 and its timing could not be better. With US consumers looking for alternatives to super-sized gas guzzling SUV trucks, in a slowing economy, the Infiniti line of Crossover SUV vehicles are growing in popularity. The change in consumer buying habits was noticeable in February light truck sales at GM; down 19.2%

The Infiniti EX35, FX35 and now the 2009 FX50 will serve a larger population of consumers looking for SUV functionality but in a smaller frame. Adding interest to Infiniti's SUV crossover designs are luxurious interiors, smart pricing and lease programs, and now a powerful V8 engine available in the FX50. The FX50 will be an attractive competitor to the BMW X5 SAV.

“We are looking forward to adding the FX50 to our SUV crossover offering “remarked Steve Rudkin, General Manager of Infiniti of Santa Monica. Rudkin added “The FX35 and EX35 have been great sellers for our dealership and the 2009 FX50 adds additionally functionality and power to attract savvy car shoppers”.

Infiniti sales grew in February compared to many manufacturers that saw a sales decline. Rudkin attributes the rise in Infiniti sales to a number of factors including Infiniti reliability, pricing, service and attractive lease programs. Mr. Rudkin noted that “With new lease programs introduced in March, Infiniti of Santa Monica is currently offering the 2008 Infiniti EX35 Crossover SUV for a low as $399 per month* with $1,995 down & fees.

Rudkin commented "The current lease program has dropped the monthly payments for consumers from the initial launch prices and is now in the sweet spot for SUV crossover sales.”
