July 27, 2006 - Barco, a leading global provider of visual display solutions for simulation, virtual reality, and edutainment, today announced the appointment of Dave Janke as its new vice president of sales and marketing. Mr. Janke will lead the sales and marketing teams of Barco's simulation business as the company expands its simulation and virtual reality businesses in North America.

Most recently, Mr. Janke served as vice president of operations for Barco’s Media & Entertainment division, a world leader in state-of-the-art, large-screen visualization solutions. Prior to this, he held the executive vice president and general manager position for Barco's Media activities. During his four years with Barco, Mr. Janke managed a broad range of responsibilities and grew the US business from a start-up to significant proportions. Prior to Barco, Mr. Janke spent fourteen years with Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation, where as vice president and general manager of the International Division, he presided over the rapid expansion of the visual systems business into Europe and Asia.
