The Spectacle Kit Insert Program (SKIP) is designed for those who wear prescription glasses and need the same Rx lens for their respirator mask. Chemical workers, fire fighters, electric-utility employees, hazardous materials handlers and others whose work is done in oxygen deficient space or in a potentially toxic environment typically wear the masks.
“Industrial Vision initiated this program because we needed to educate these workers about the differences between prescription glasses and prescription respirator inserts. It can be crucial to on the job safety,” said John Stewart, President.

Retailers are simply not familiar with the additional measurements needed due to the physical differences of the masks and inserts from regular prescription glasses.”
Stewart added without these additional measurements the wearer simply will not have the same visual acuity as with their regular glasses using the exact same prescription.
