January 09, 2008 - Glen Cove, NY- MLC PR announced that Glen Cove, New York indie pop rock band Stealing Jane has officially released their highly anticipated EP “Say Something” on BTO Records. The eight guys from Stealing Jane have brought their eclectic backgrounds together, blending various genres of music to create music that appeals to a diverse audience. Although the band is classified in the pop rock music scene, they harmonize rock, pop, and R&B music to create a sound they call “groove rock.”
Lead singer Bryce Larsen says, “This EP was really the project of our lives for over a year. We went to numerous great studios and worked with so many talented people to create this record. It feels so good to finally have something we feel so strongly about represent us musically.”
Stealing Jane has received acclaim from press such as PensEyeView.com, Valley Scene Magazine and Inside Connection. They have also been featured in Revolt Magazine, IndieMusicStop.com, and were the BlogCritics’ Band of the Week.
In addition to touring extensively, they are spinning on radio in over fifteen states, as well as appearing on the popular Opie and Anthony Show on XM radio. The combination of their original music, five-star live show, undeniable talent and hard work has solidified Stealing Jane as the next big thing to hit the music industry. Compared to the likes of The Dave Mathews Band, Sublime and Maroon 5, the new EP exemplifies the wide reach of their music.
Dave Calzone who plays the trombone for the band says, “I am so proud with our new EP. Compared to what we have done in the past, ‘Say Something’ really embodies our musical growth. I feel it reflects every band member’s own musical taste in each song, which forms a very cohesive EP. For me, it is so important that a CD can be enjoyed the whole way through, and our EP does an amazing job of keeping people listening the whole time.”
Stealing Jane consists of: Bryce Larsen (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Matt Giordano (lead guitar), Brian Bunce (bass), Pat Iannelli (saxophone), Dave Calzone (trombone), Will Tully (drums), Andrew Mericle (trumpet) and Jesse Sears (keyboard).
