Indian Franchise Association organized an exclusive seminar on ‘Legal Challenges to Franchising and Brand Protection’ in New Delhi

The Seminar aimed to explore and address legal challenges pertaining to Franchise Business highlighting the need to develop and abide by a legal framework in the absence of government regulatories and franchise laws.


(1888PressRelease) June 23, 2009 - In the present scenario of absence of Franchise Laws in our Country, it is important to bring forth the burning legal issues and regulate the growing business of franchising in India. Indian Franchise Association considering the same is organized an exclusive one day workshop to highlight and discuss the Legal Challenges to Franchising & Brand Protection at Hotel Ramada Plaza in New Delhi.

The Seminar aimed to explore and address legal challenges pertaining to Franchise Business highlighting the need to develop and abide by a legal framework in the absence of government regulatories and franchise laws. Mr. Jidesh Kumar, Managing Partner, King Stubb & Kasiva the speaker for the seminar highlighted and discuss the legal challenges in Franchise Industry and Brand Protection.

According to Colonel (Retd.) Upendra Sachdev, Executive Director, Indian Franchise Association “Nations across the world have enacted franchise laws wherein the franchise fraternity is immensely benefited. To highlight the legal issues affecting the franchise fraternity, Indian Franchise Association is organizing this workshop wherein we have invited Mr. Jidesh Kumar, Managing Partner of full service National Law Firm, King Stubb & Kasiva as the speaker at the seminar.”

During the workshop Franchising, International Expansion, Legal Compliance, Commercial and Retail leasing, Dispute Resolution including Arbitration and other contentious issues were discussed in details.
