  • (1888PressRelease) May 17, 2016 - A local consortium of academic and industry leaders, led by QASource, is collaborating on an academic-industry partnership to help students and graduates bridge what they learn in academia and what they do in industry, specifically in the QA services job market.

The first meeting of this initiative will take place this month in May 2016 in Chandigarh, India where QASource's offshore facilities are located. Leaders expect to discuss important topics such as challenges faced by academia and industry in terms of post-graduate skillsets, the needs of industry training, how industry can help academia, and technology trends.

"The best city economies across the globe have a combination of government, academia, and industry working together, said Rajeev Rai, a Co-Founder of QASource. "We are all doing excellent work today individually as institutions, but I am excited for us to combine forces. We will continue to build up Chandigarh and the surrounding areas as a leading region in India."

QASource, a leading software testing company, understands the importance of academia and how Academia can impact an industry. Being founded in Silicon Valley, where universities such as Stanford and Berkley have widely contributed to industry in the Bay Area, QASource will seek to replicate similar synergies for the QA services industry. QASource hopes that this partnership will allow them to continue to retain the best talent for their clients.

Rick Rampton, Head of Client Success at QASource said: "This collaborative effort is in full alignment with QASource's strategy to provide to our clients the highest quality engineers in all of India. Recent partnerships have shown us that as we work together, we will fully harness all the resources at our disposal and create the best graduates, who then become the most innovative employees. Now, we are just extending this to a broad, region-wide initiative."

This first initiative will establish the introductions and start the conversations. QASource and the academia leadership is eager to make plans on how they can best serve their students, graduates, and employees.
