InApp CEO And InApp President Receive Laurels In IEEE Annual Report

InApp CEO, Amarnath Raja and President, Satish Babu have received special mention for their technological and humanitarian efforts in the Asian Tsunami Relief in the just released IEEE 2005 Annual Report.

(1888PressRelease) October 09, 2006 - Trivandrum, Kerala, India - October 9, 2006 - "IEEE Members Amarnath Raja and Satish Babu led efforts to coordinate the international donor agencies. Just three days after the massive tidal wave struck, volunteers – many of them IEEE members – established a Web site that became a central point for information on tsunami relief." The Website (www.tsunami2004-india.org) is still providing information and resources to government and NGO's involved in rebuilding Tsunami affected areas.

InApp's CEO, Amarnath Raja camped at Nagapattinum and helped in creating the Nagapattinum Rehabilitation Resource Center (NRRC). He continues to be a steering committee member of NRRC. He is also a Managing Committee Member of the Computer Society of India (CSI), Trivandrum Chapter and an active promoter of Open Source Technology.

InApp's President, Satish Babu was responsible for coordinating the relief activities; fund raising and reporting. Satish Babu, formerly the CEO of SIFFS (South Indian Federation for Fisherman Societies), has worked on various projects for the ICSF (International Collective in Support of Fishworkers) and UNDP which were focused on building web-based IT infrastructure. He is an active proponent of Open Source Technology and is currently the Secretary of the Computer Society of India (CSI).

InApp is conscious of its obligations to the community and through its projects, helps the larger community share the benefits of technology. InApp staff collected relief materials and passed them over to a Red Cross Camp operating in the worst affected Nagapattinum district, Tamil Nadu, India. InApp assisted in building a core IT infrastructure to facilitate information exchange and monitoring in the Tsunami ravaged areas. InApp has always been a company with a conscience.
