Evansville, IN-KY (1888PressRelease)
October 08, 2007 - Imani Advocates, a not for profit ministry of Daystar Evangelical Church, is upping the ante in publicity for authors and artists, with an author and artist event to be held in Evansville, Indiana.
Monica Davis, author and chief investigator for Imani Advocates has spoken with authors around the country and the common theme gleaned from these conversations is that authors are having difficulty marketing their works. Unlike authors from large, mainstream publishing houses, self-published authors do not have publishers with million dollar marketing budgets. Hence, the challenge for an author is to find a venue to sell multiple copies to the public, while, at the same time, piggybacking off of the event's publicity and promote their own work.
To answer this gap in the publishing industry, Imani Advocates is sponsoring a book, art and music fair in Evansville Indiana on Saturday, November 10, 2007. This event is being advertised nationally and we expect artists, authors and craftspeople from around the country to participate.
