The new home of the online game portal is www.GamesTrend.com, where the company now has over 800 free game downloads available, making it one of the industry’s largest game portal sites.
GamesTrend.com was created to feature the work of indie game creators, and offers free downloadable trials, trailers, and select free online games for registered members. The domain move was made on January 1st, and dozens of users have registered for free game access within just days of the site’s launch.
Membership registration for GamesTrend is free, and offers access to existing games, as well as other member features, such as special game offers and coupons, access to a freeware games section with more than 70 high quality freeware games, the ability to play free online games, and access to new games added to the site which average to around 50 new games per week.
GamesTrend offers additional features and benefits aside from free online games and free game downloads, such as indie game articles, developer solutions, and a guarantee to members that all free game downloads are free of spyware, adware, and viruses. Reviews of games and interviews with game developers are also available for free, to members and non-members.
Games available online or for free download through GamesTrend.com are all developed by indie game developers. The games can’t be found in retail stores. GamesTrend plans to increase its support of indie game development with the impending launch of a video game publishing service, where Illusion Software will build exclusive and non-exclusive deals with indie game developers to publish and distribute games under their own label.
