November 08, 2008 - Toronto, Canada - The LF Glass RFID Tag is contactless and read only operating in the 125 ± 6kHz (low frequency) with a capacity of 256 bits. The housing is highly durable as it is waterproof and dustproof makes it useful for a range of applications from implanting into pets for identification tags to laundry management. The Glass RFID Tag is amply insensitivity to read interference caused by liquids and metals and is resistant to immersion in salt water, alcohol, oil, 10% HCL, and ammonia.
GAO Tek’s Glass RFID Tag features robust easy-to-install body. Generally, the tag is injected into an animal via a syringe, where it has a read-range of 2-3cm (1 to1.5 in).
This LF Glass RFID Tag can be pre-programmed with specific IDs based on the customers’ requirements. Once in place in a system, this RFID tag is reputed to be near maintenance free, and can last for many years making it extremely cost effective.
