  • (1888PressRelease) November 25, 2016 - IBS Software, a leading global provider of next-generation IT solutions for the travel, transportation and logistics industries, has been chosen as one among the top 100 companies for women in India. This was based on a survey conducted by Working Mother Media, a leading publishing group in the US, along with their Indian partner, Avtar, a leading HR consulting company. Working Mother Media conducts this survey every year in the US and has been doing so for the past thirty years. However, it for the first time that the survey has been being conducted in Indian companies. IBS has nearly 3,000 employees from 20 different nationalities stationed at ten offices across the globe. Nearly 35% of them are women.

The awards were declared at a gala function held at The Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, last week. The maiden attempt had a whopping participation from more than 350 companies and the final winners were selected after an intense process that included providing answers to over 370 questions, both quantitative and qualitative. The assessment was based on yardsticks that included institutionalized women-empowerment platforms; safety measures for women like help lines, self-defense training, anti-sexual harassment policies; women-friendly policy frameworks that include flexible working options, maternity benefits, extra-curricular possibilities, office pick-up and drop, work-from-home facility and work-life balance.

Jayan P, IBS Global Head for Human Resources says, "IBS has always focused on creating an environment that enables our women employees to achieve their professional ambitions balancing their personal life. This recognition is really a motivating factor for us to continue our efforts and make IBS a truly great place to work"

"Equality without gender based prejudices is not just an elusive goal but way of life at IBS. Our workforce is motivated to practice 'absolute respect to human rights' and our policies and best practices are aimed to facilitate this" says Supriya D, Chairperson of Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee, IBS.
