Nashville, TN (1888PressRelease)
May 11, 2007 - With the vast number and variety of companies available in today’s global marketplace, the need for any one company to do it all is almost obsolete. Companies have become more specialized in their product and service offerings, rather than taking a shotgun approach and trying to hit it all.
Quality Control data collection and analysis are no different. I & R Partners has focused their resources on the development of handheld data collection systems. We have successfully provided a wide variety of manufacturers with a flexible, yet powerful, enough system to be used in virtually any environment and situation. Our four articles over the last two years in the major Quality publications, and our long list of Fortune 500 customers, is proof enough that I & R Partners is recognized as the leader in wireless, handheld data collection. Our data collectors have historically collected their data and exported it in a generic enough format to be utilized by almost any other analysis package.
Recently though, there has been an increased request by our customers to provide them with the entire turnkey system; from the data collector hardware to the data analysis software. With this not being our forte, we discussed the advantage to our customers to form a strategic alliance with a software analysis company. The name which came to the surface first and foremost was the leader in Quality Control products. Mitutoyo is recognized worldwide as being the leader in Quality Control products. One of their many divisions is MeasurLink, which focuses on SPC and Quality data analysis. They host a handful of software products designed to analyze and manage data plant wide.
They, on the other hand, did not have a portable industrial data collection solution for their customers. When the idea of a strategic OEM alliance was presented, it was mutually embraced by both parties. Seeing the power and flexibility which two product lines, two development teams, and two areas of expertise, brings to manufacturers worldwide, it was clear that this was a natural. I & R Partners has formed a new division, known as weStat, to handle the launching of the new products developed under the OEM strategic alliance. From the name, you can see the combination of companies at work to satisfy the multitude of data collection and analysis challenges presented by manufacturers. Together, our companies will help take your data collection and analysis efforts to the next level. Thank you for your confidence and support.
