(1888PressRelease) October 10, 2007 - Torrington, Connecticut –With daily news stories about Internet predators, cyber bullying, child pornography and identity theft as the impetus Humenews has launched a parents information site on child internet safety. The appropriately title Child-Internet-Safety.humenews.com is designed to introduce parents to the popular areas children and teens go to on the web, the resulting dangers, and most importantly the solutions to those dangers. In addition to the web site Humenews is offering a free newsletter and complimentary booklet “A Parent’s Guide to Internet Safety.”

“With headlines daily reporting on Internet predators browsing the social networks, online gaming areas and instant messaging programs that are so popular with our kids, it is vitally important that parents have as much knowledge as possible to keep their kids safe,” said Dan Greenlaw the head of Humenews. Federal Authorities believe that 500,000-750,000 predators are on-line on a daily basis. Parent’s first line of defense against these predators is knowledge according to Mr. Greenlaw
In addition to the online information that will be constantly updated Humenews is offering a free weekly newsletter that highlights Internet safety news, important articles and web sites about child internet safety. “A Parent’s Guide to Internet Safety”, a free booklet that discusses steps parents can take to protect their children is also being provided to parents that register online.

“Education and knowledge are the keys to making our children’s Internet experience safe and enjoyable, and it is Humenews goal to help parents in both of these areas” said Mr. Greenlaw,
