August 18, 2007 - Barry H. Beith, president and CEO of HumanCentric Technologies, Inc., announces today the promotion of Marvin Smith as manager of user experience design. In this new role, Smith will manage, mentor and direct a HumanCentric team in developing product features for client’s applications.
Since early 2001, Smith has worked with HumanCentric clients including Motorola, Cisco, IBM, Tyco and Qualcomm covering interfaces and related documentation for mobile handset applications, Web site/application design and Windows user interface design.
“Marvin continues to excel at HumanCentric, and I am pleased that he has accepted the additional responsibility of managing one of our internal teams,” says Beith. “Since joining HumanCentric, Marvin has traveled worldwide conducting client usability and design programs. He will now have the opportunity to share those valuable experiences with other team members.”
Smith graduated from Clemson University with a Masters of Arts in Professional Communication. He is an active member in the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) and Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction (SIGCHI). SIGCHI provides an international, interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of ideas about the field of human-computer interaction (HCI).
