August 21, 2009 - RALEIGH, N.C. - Heather Dean, partner at Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (www.hpg.com), the largest CPA firm headquartered and staffed in the Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina, has been appointed to serve a second term as treasurer of the Leadership Raleigh Alumni Association.
Dean’s position involves reviewing and summarizing financial statements for the organization. She is also simplifying ways to compare and analyze the budget on a year-to-date basis, and is developing opportunities to increase revenue for Leadership Raleigh.
“Serving as treasurer has allowed me to stay connected to a talented group of leaders in the community,” says Dean. “As Leadership Raleigh reaches its 25th year, I am looking forward to being a part of the organization’s growth, connecting past graduates to current activities and reminding them of what a fulfilling experience it was.”
Leadership Raleigh is a nine-month program that prepares selected candidates to take on leadership roles and engage in sustained community involvement. Dean is a 2007 graduate of the program.
