The D-Gas system improves diesel combustion mechanism in your vehicle, thereby reduces the diesel consumption. Taking into account the cost of LPG fuel which is less than diesel fuel, a net saving of minimum 20% is enabled in the cost of fuel alone, not to speak of other advantages. This quantity of saving is considerable for vehicles when driven long distances and interstate. D-Gas system uses the un-burnt diesel wasted as emission in a poorly working combustion mechanism and transforms the same into increased power of the engine. Apart from saving money which is an added bonus, the D-Gas system is mainly designed to prevent environmental pollution by a large amount of reduction in the emission of exhausts. D-Gas Technology is applied for improving the efficiency of the diesel engine automatically, when injected into the combustion area for the main purpose of purification of the circulation of fuel with engine oil. A cleaned up fuel adds up to the power of the engine, easy and corrosion-free movement of the inner parts, making the combustion easier and trouble-free. It is to be noted that the ultimate user is offered the option for tuning up the LPG injection system either for maximizing economy by saving costs or increasing the power of the engine or some where in the middle of the two advantages.
The Overall savings by using D-Gas technology:
The important advantage of using D-Gas system is that it prolongs the life of the engine and increases its efficiency by improving the combustion activity inside. The improvements made in the combustion results in Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs) being reduced and also the deposits and build up of carbon on the inner parts, which can contaminate the engine oil flowing across these parts. Thus a cleaned up engine oil devoid of sediments and deposits of carbon, maintains the standard viscosity and functions as required. This postpones change of engine oil at frequent intervals, costing huge money and endures the excellent performance of the engine. This improvement in reduced emissions can be seen visibly at the exhaust tip at the end of the tail pipe by the colour and much less black soot available. The savings made available by the elongation of engine oil life while servicing is additional and sizeable.
Government Grants / Incentives available
With a view to assist the private use motorists (other than commercial or business use) with the purchase of a new LPG vehicle or making the conversion of a new or used petrol or diesel vehicle to LPG fuel, The Australian Government has established the LPG Vehicle Scheme.
Calculation of savings evolved by D-Gas System:
The following calculation taking for example Kenworth Cummins B-Double 80 ton total load will show the effective savings generated by D-Gas system:
Vehicle using 100% Diesel fuel will require
57.8 litres per 100 KM. The cost therefore = @$1.40 x 57.8 = $80.92
Diesel/Gas using vehicle will only require
52.9 liters per 100 KM. The cost is = @$1.13 x 52.9 = $59.70
The net saving per 100 KM (all prices including GST) = $21.22
Assuming the truck travels 20,000 KM every month, the saving is $4,244
The Return on investment, based on the above calculations cited as example, is amazingly that the D-Gas “BIG-RIG” installation would pay for itself in just around 4 months time.
And this is not all there is more to it – with installation costs for passenger vehicles and 4 WDs as compared to normal Petrol/LPG conversions PLUS the Government rebates for passenger vehicles, you stand to gain enormously.
