The Natural Clear whole house water treatment system is designed to perform well under virtually all conditions with low acquisition cost, minimal size, and very low average maintenance costs. This system pre-treats the incoming water, reduces heavy metals, chlorine and chlorine by products, softens water, reduces VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), destroys microbiological organisms, and removes particles with minimal maintenance and service costs.
What makes the Natural Clear different from other whole house water systems is that is utilizes 6 different technologies in order to supply clean great tasting water. These 6 stages are:
STAGE 1: Pre-filter - 20 micron particulate pre-filter--The pre-filter is a washable filter that takes out the larger particles so that the rest of the system can work at it's best.
STAGE 2: KDF-55 --KDF 55 takes out some of the nastiest culprits in water. Contaminates like arsenic, mercury, copper, lead and even bacteria don't stand a chance when the water is run through this stage. The KDF material gets regenerated and recharged, so it lasts about 2.5 years.
STAGE 3 AND 4:Carbon/Resin--Believe it or not, even though the water has been through two purification stages, there are still come contaminates left. That is where stage three, consisting of a carbon/resin treatment, comes in. The carbon and resin act like a one-two punch. First, the carbon treats chlorine, solvents, trihalomethanes, and volatile organic chemicals. Then the water is turned over to the resins that deal with the hardness of water. Our resin stage will remove calcium, magnesium, and even some of the iron and manganese that can be found in untreated water.
STAGE 5: Ultraviolet Light Treatment--This may be the most important part of your Natural Clear water purification system. Some of the most harmful contaminants in water are microorganisms like bacteria and viruses. The Natural Clear system runs those organisms through a high intensity/high exposure ultraviolet light chamber that doesn't allow them to survive. The bulb needs to be replaced just once per year.
Stage 6: Post-filter - 1 micron--The post 1 micron filter is the last step and takes out even the smallest particles that may have made it this far. This filter is replaced once per year.
