HOSMAC Foundation is a non – profit trust set up in 2005 with a vision of having “an equitable and sustainable society where people live in dignity with good health and in harmony”. The Foundation is an affiliate of HOSMAC India Pvt. Ltd. which is a pioneering name in the field of Healthcare Planning & Management consultancy in the country.
The mission of HOSMAC Foundation is to promote a process which is sustainable, socially inclusive and gender sensitive, to enable the poor and vulnerable communities to achieve a dignified quality of life. Quality of life is providing good health, livelihood, social security and strong self governance with equal participation from both men &women.
The Foundation strives towards improvement in development indicators. The focus areas of work include health, education and environment. The Foundation is also venturing into new areas of Livelihood systems, adaptability, water and more developmental projects which are in concurrence with the Foundation’s larger vision of empowering the community and valuing life.
Since one of the priority areas for the HOSMAC Foundation is Health, the Foundation strives to improve the health scenario in India by focusing on the emerging health issues. Together with the agencies which matter in bringing about a change, HOSMAC Foundation aims to bring a paradigm shift in the way the health systems are being managed.

Towards realising its vision and mission, the Foundation has begun with:
• Assessment audit of a chain of maternity hospitals run by Vaatsalya Healthcare Solutions, Bangalore which provides subsidised care to below poverty line patients.
• Facility Survey for 24x7 Primary Health Care Centres (PHC’s) and First Referral Units (FRUs) in the State of Bihar for UNICEF, Bihar on behalf of the Government of India
• Management Development Programmes for capacity building of healthcare community in collaboration with IIT Mumbai.
• Managing a web based healthcare portal “Hospitalinfonet” for dissemination of information
• Awareness campaigns to promote green Architecture in the healthcare industry and introducing the “Green Building Concepts” to stakeholders
• Exploring niche areas for to bring a paradigm shift in the way the health systems are being managed through a holistic approach by integrating both function and functionaries. |
