February 27, 2008 - Horton Holding, Inc. has appointed David Adams as president and chief executive officer of Horton Holding, Inc. and all subsidiary companies. Adams will oversee Horton Holding, Inc., global headquarters; Horton, Inc., United States; Horton Europe GmbH & Co. KG, Germany; Horton Mexico; and Horton South America, Brazil.
Prior to accepting the position at Horton, Adams was a division chief executive officer for Thyssenkrupp Waupaca. He held the positions of division president, chief operating officer, vice president operations and general manager within ZF Friedrichshafen AG in the United States, including a top position within a ZF/Ford joint venture. In addition, David has held executive-level positions with VME in Brussels, Belgium (currently Volvo Construction Equipment), CDI Transportation/Modern Engineering, Rockwell International and Sheller-Globe Corporation. After college, Adams started with Chrysler Corporation, where he held various engineering positions.
Adams has a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Michigan State University.
