August 24, 2007 - Sydney - Pkorbs today launched its Home Schooling Information site HomeSchoolingOnlineTips.com. Homeschooling is rapidly becoming a preferred method of educating one’s children due to the increasing unreliability of the public school system, lack of substance within a school’s curriculum in the public school system, and neglect of each individual child’s interest’s and needs in the public school system. The News Virginian estimates the number of children being homeschooled currently in the U.S at between 1.9 and 2.4 million. There has been a noticeable increase in comparison to the previous decade and there are solid reasons why.
In public schools the majority of the focus is on the group of children rather than the individual. Homeschooling one’s child allows that child’s interests and needs to be discovered and nurtured at a much younger age than would occur in a public school system This has obvious benefits in terms of providing confidence and a sense of purpose for the child. A child whose interest and skills are overlooked will be more likely to develop social troubles and resort to disobedient behaviour.
Essentially a homeschooling education provides a solid base for a further education in high school. As Augusta County Superintendent Gary McQuain suggests homeschoolers are more likely to “do well” in public schools. “If they are motivated to work at home, they will be motivated to work in our schools.” A child will be in a confident and self-assured position to enter into the public school system having ascertained the knowledge and skills which match their interests.
The newly launched HomeSchooingOnlineTips.com website provides users with the latest information and product reviews on homeschooling. In particular it focuses on the basics of homeschooling, different methods and techniques of homeschooling and how to maintain discipline while homeschooling. This site will be very beneficial for those parents considering homeschooling their children this year.
