Eight Hollister Kids entries were among the finalists announced in April.

Winners were announced this month at a banquet at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Earning top honors in their categories were:

• “Faces of the Future: Hispanics Who Will Influence the World,” a program created for Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services that included a student newspaper supplement, a teacher guide and a classroom poster (Best Anniversary or Commemorative Edition, Grades 9-12).

• “Leonardo da Vinci: Man, Inventor, Genius,” a full-color teaching package created for the Detroit Science Center (Best Sponsored Publication, Grades 6-8).
