History.com, The History Channel® Multi-media Web Site Presents Live Webcast Of 40 Years Of Star Trek: The Collection

The first-ever official auction of Star Trek contents conducted by Christie's live three-day Star Trek extravaganza takes place Thursday October 5-Saturday October 7 beginning at 10am (EST) each day on History.com


(1888PressRelease) October 05, 2006 - Award-winning History.Com, the online extension of The History Channel, will present a live webcast of 40 YEARS OF STAR TREK: THE COLLECTION, the first-ever official auction of items from the five Star Trek television series and ten feature films on Thursday, October 5 through Saturday, October 7 at 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 2:00-6:00 p.m. ET each day. The auction emanates from Christie’s New York.

The multi-camera production will capture all the suspense and exhilaration of this live event that only STAR TREK can generate. The three-day auction will showcase 1000 lots from the entire CBS Paramount Television STAR TREK franchise including props, scenery, detailed models, and costumes from the television series and feature films. By logging onto the webcast, viewers will have the opportunity to see the once-in-a-lifetime event.

The History Channel will also broadcast two new STAR TREK documentary specials set to premiere on The History Channel in the first quarter of 2007.
