May 08, 2007 - According to Deezle, Chopper was in charge of overseeing every part of this project. “Everybody submitted music for the album. When we started, Chopper wanted the album to be a classic. I told Chopper that I was with any decision he made, and he just kept choosing my music." says Deezle.
Chopper and Deezle created the album at Deezle’s private studio in New Orleans, in order to avoid outside interruptions. ”We did like three songs, then all of a sudden he’s locked up. When he finally got out, he was focused on making The Fast Life , an album true to himself.”
“Real life situations and the devastation of New Orleans fueled the fire of The Fast Life.” explains Deezle. “At that time New Orleans was under Martial Law,. Chopper had become a father, been arrested, and was creating his debut album. He was fighting a serious charge and working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week to get the vibe he wanted out of each track. He actually wrote the song fresh out the pen, in the pen.”
