St. Louis, MO-IL (1888PressRelease) August 14, 2007 - St. Louis homebuilder Highland Homes recently added Michelle Meyer as Architectural Project Manager.

In her new position, Meyer will be responsible for managing the Architectural Department and ensuring that the company’s vision for building green, urban friendly homes is carried out through construction teams.

“Meyer’s experience in both architecture and management will help our company continually expand as we build environmentally-friendly homes,” Bob Shallenberger, co-founder of Highland Homes, said. “She shares Highland’s vision for creating innovative – and affordable – residences that use energy efficient, renewable resources.”

Meyer has 20 years experience working in architectural design and management on projects spanning from retail centers to golf course club houses to luxury homes. Among her projects includes the Lakehurst Fire/Rescue Station, a 21,000 square foot rescue station with sleeping quarters for 96 and an estimated budget of $5.4 million in New Jersey.

“Her wide skill-set, including her experience with large-scale developments, will be a huge asset to the diverse nature of our projects,” John Cavanagh, co-founder of Highland Homes, said.

Prior to this position, Meyer worked extensively throughout Canada and the United States. She has experience as a project architect for SEM Architects, Inc in Denver, Colorado, and she was a founding member/partner for Meyer Design Partnership, LLC. Meyer received her Professional Bachelor of Architecture from the University of British Columbia.

Established in 2003 by John Cavanagh and Bob Shallenberger, Highland Homes has rapidly become a $16 million company, and was named the #1 fastest-growing private company in St. Louis in 2006. As St. Louis’ 20th largest homebuilder, Highland Homes quickly found its niche building new homes that complement existing communities in the general St. Louis Central Corridor as well as in St. Charles County. Highland Homes is a green builder that develops environmentally-responsible homes which appeal to customers’ lifestyles with “urban friendly” floor plans and extensive options.
