September 29, 2009 - Qualitest introduces a new addition to our hardness tester family. The QV-4500 series of micro / macro Vickers testers features an advanced line of closed loop, load cell Vickers hardness testers that offers a very wide load range and advanced options such as fully automatic image analysis and programmable test sequences.
The new line of Vickers testers are of a modular design and will accommodate most micro and macro Vickers testing needs. The QV-4500 product line features testers from basic digital testers suitable for low frequency laboratory testing or educational purposes to fully automatic systems for advanced an efficient quality control testing. Software control, automatic image analysis and motorized x-y-z-stages are a few of the modular options available for the QV-4500-line.
The available load range starts at 20 grams and reaches as high as 62.5kgf. The unique load range allows for brinell and knoop tests to be carried out as well as most micro and macro Vickers tests. The closed loop technology with a force feed-back system, as applied in the QV-4500 series, constantly measures and controls the applied force on the tester’s indenter and tested surface. Consequently, this superior control system offers an almost unlimited selection of test loads and test rates for virtually any test condition imaginable. The tester is controlled using either the large LCD display or through a PC with the optional software package.
