Heroin Detox at Pat Moore Foundation featured on A&E's Intervention

Orange County detox and treatment center, Pat Moore Foundation, was recently featured on A&E's Intervention as the detox center for Gabe V., a heroin addict.

Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) October 03, 2009 - Costa Mesa, California – In a recent episode of A&E’s Intervention, the 2009 Emmy Award Winner for Outstanding Reality Program, Gabe V. entered the Pat Moore Foundation in Costa Mesa, California, where he sought help for his heroin addiction through their heroin detox and treatment program.

A&E’s Intervention, now in its seventh season, is a riveting reality television series that focuses on people whose addiction to drugs and alcohol and other compulsive behaviors have brought them to a point of crisis in their personal lives, including estrangement from their families and friends. Each episode wraps up with a family and friends staged intervention.

In this episode, Gabe V. was abandoned on the streets of Calcutta and then adopted by an American family when he was three. Secretly feeling like an outsider, but outwardly projecting happiness and contentment to those around him, Gabe V. began rebelling in high school. At first using marijuana and cocaine, Gabe V. later graduated to heroin, and now his family fears his addiction and depression will lead to his death if an intervention, heroin detox, and rehabilitation does not happen.

“For the past twenty five years we’ve specialized in heroin detox and other opiate addiction treatment programs,” begins Phil Allen, CEO of the Pat Moore Foundation. “When Intervention contacted us about Gabe V. we were of course ready. I’m a fan of the show and watch it all the time.”

The Pat Moore Foundation’s drug and alcohol detox and treatment programs are licensed and certified by The State of California. They provide non-medical and medically managed detoxification, and are renowned for their heroin detox treatments.
