November 30, 2007 - HDC has just released two new dates for its celebrated Interpretive Training Programme which will be held at the Plas Tan y Bwlch Environmental Studies Centre at the Snowdonia National Park in Wales, United Kingdom. Both courses will be presented by Dr John Veverka who is without doubt the worlds leading expert in the field and is a senior partner at Heritage Destination Consulting.
Dr Veverka said; “We are delighted to be offering these popular courses. The interest in heritage interpretation just keeps growing year after year” John continued; “we are offering two courses: the first; “Interpretive Master Planning” will run between 6th and 8th May 2008 and will prepare participants to develop interpretive master plans for their sites, facilities or agencies. This is an ideal course for those working in national parks, historic sites, heritage destinations, zoos, gardens and related organizations. The second course will be a 4-day “Planning and Design of Interpretive Media” which will start on 1st September 2008. Participants will gain training in practical development of interpretive panels, museum and visitor center exhibits, self-guiding tour media and other technologies used for presenting interpretive services to the public.”
