Many women feel that most car accessories are targeted towards male drivers and they feel many car accessory companies target only the male population. HD Automotive launched its pink number plate surround at the end of 2007 and car accessory companies such as Halfords say it is a positive approach in to the market.
There is a demand for such products as the percentage of female drivers is increasing and many car manufacturers are now realising this with the launch of many cars in pink and softer colours.
The number plate surrounds are manufactured in the UK from durable, injection moulded ABS plastic. The number plate surrounds give a distinctive look to a car and are suitable for all weather conditions.
The pink surround will help the female population become more accessorised with their cars and give them a sense of differentiation. Consumer behaviour is rapidly changing and innovation has lacked behind especially in this market.
