March 08, 2009 - New Delhi : Havells India Limited, a US $1 billion plus enterprise and one of India’s fastest growing electrical and power distribution equipment companies, has become India’s first BEE 5 star rated energy efficient fan manufacturing company for it’s Velocity ES-50 1200 mm fans. Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is a statutory body under Ministry of Power, Govt. of India.
ES 50 Ceiling fan gives the service value of more than "4" which means Air delivery of more than 200 cu m/min and wattage consumption of less than 50 Watt. More the Service Value of a fan, the higher its efficiency. Havells Velocity ES-50 Fans consume only 50 Watts where as generally fans consume 75-80 Watts.
Havells Fans are manufactured in a fully integrated, state-of-the-art production facility at Haridwar, Uttaranchal. Today, Havells has one of the largest manufacturing set up with the modern technology, automatic machines along with a highly competent Research, Development & Design Centre.
The R&D and Design Center is equipped with facilities like Ceiling fan ADTR (air delivery test room), a fully automated apparatus for measuring Air Delivery of Ceiling Fans, the only one of its kind in India and Comprehensive Test Cabin, a fully automated testing apparatus for type tests as per IS 374 : 1979.
Performance – energy efficiency and air delivery, Aesthetics and designs are the focus areas of production team at Havells. Therefore, a ROTC (real time online testing chamber) – a fully automated computerized test setup has been deployed on Fan assembly line for 100% inspection of ceiling fan motors. Each and every Havells Fan is passed through this high precision test chamber.
