African-Americans are beginning to create an economic infrastructure built on high trust and frequent networking events in the Harlem area. The recent changes in the Harlem community are setting the tone for Harlem to attract quality business owners from around the state to build an effective network to build a Black Business Base.

Recently, Derrick Guest, CEO of Griots Roll Productions (www.griotsrollproduction.com) hosted a successful networking event at the Harlem State Office Building.

Griot's Roll is a for profit business, film/video production and post-production company. It is located in Central Harlem, on 135th Street in New York. Griots (means Story Teller in Swahili) goal is to provide services both in film/video production and post-production. Griot's Roll will edit and shoot film/video at affordable rates for independent film, record label, the small business entrepreneurs and individual consumers.

Griot's Roll is a maturing company specializing in production and post-production. Griot's Roll Film Production & Services Inc. is the idea of Derrick M. Guest, CEO and owner. . His determination to become an entrepreneur and work on his passion for filming, writing and directing is what drives him to become successful.

The company is three years old and was incorporated in February 2004. Griot's Roll has finished its first project in January 2004 (Urban Fishing Adventure). We have worked on musical show cases for various artists. Griot's future endeavors include starting our video resume services. Griot's Roll will add to our editing software “after affects”.

In addition, The Power Networking Series has committed to bringing the Power Networking Series uptown to Harlem to continue the economic renaissance that Harlem is currently experiencing. It is the goal of the Power Networking Series to strengthen the human, economic, social, political, and spiritual ties uptown in Harlem to spur economic growth and create the social fabric the foster growth in small business. The Power Networking Series will be hosting a monthly Power Networking Series Business Card Exchange for the next 12 month at the Harlem State Office Building located at 163 West 125th Street, Harlem, New York. Harlem Business News located at www.harlembusinessnews.com has been selected as the media sponsor for the Power Networking Series billed as Power Networking Series goes uptown to Harlem.

The Power Networking Series will be presenting it's second in a series of Business Card Exchanges After Hours on July 10, 2005 at the Harlem State Office building located at 163 West 125th Street (Room 8C), Harlem, New York. The Power Networking Series Business Card Exchange will begin at 6:00 PM and end at 9:00 PM. Advance Registration only.
