The deregulation of the Massachusetts auto insurance market, which will take effect on April 1, 2008, is expected to dramatically increase the range of coverage options and insurance discounts that were previously available under the fixed rate system. For consumers, the free market offers more choices and possible rate reductions. However, it’s expected that with all of the upcoming changes brought on by the deregulation, many consumers will have a difficult time comparing coverage options.
