As previously announced, Hamilton James & Bruce has successfully completed the transition to a new financier, Affiniti Capital. The Affiniti offering is a more flexible replacement for the previous Invoice Finance facility provided by ANZ. Hamilton James & Bruce has successfully negotiated the surrender of one floor (Level 11 – 1500m2) of its Sydney Exchange Centre lease. It has significantly improved its cash collection processes resulting in the average outstanding debtors balance now being within trading terms. Also, it has continued to generate cost savings from within the business, including renegotiating with suppliers, commitment to productivity efficiencies, introduction of 9 day fortnights and voluntary executive pay reductions.
Hamilton James & Bruce has secured a commitment of approximately $1.5million in additional working capital via a convertible loan note (CLN), raising up to $2.0 million. This is subject to shareholder approval at an Extraordinary General Meeting in August 2009.
