July 05, 2008 - Declared "one of Toronto’s most artistic, creative and inspiring women” by the Luminato Festival, Barbara Fris has had a luminous career since her professional opera debut in 1984, always captivating her audiences on the international opera, concert and recital stages. Her personal charisma and vocal beauty continue to endear her to audiences.
Joining her at the piano is Hyuntak Lee, winner of the South Korea Piano Competition. Their programme includes Viennese operetta arias, "An der schönen blauen Donau op. 314" (At the Beautiful Blue Danube) and summer audience favourites from Broadway musicals.
