Oklahoma City, OK (1888PressRelease)
September 08, 2008 - TrickConTreat 2008 is set to host the first ever Hearse and Shock-Rod Show in the State of Oklahoma. The main goal of the show is to allow the public access to these often stereotyped and sometimes feared professional vehicles.
Hearses are the preferred vehicle for the show, but cars, trucks, and motorcycles with a Halloween theme are also allowed. Registration for the show is free and each car will receive two free weekend memberships to TrickConTreat.
Prizes will be awarded Sunday, Oct. 5th, based on public vote for first, second, and third place.
The TrickConTreat Hearse and Shock-Rod Show will be accompanied by live music and side show acts including The RazorBlade Dolls, The Ghost Storys, The Decomposed, Spector 45, God in a Machine, Pittersplatter, and Carnival of Cleavage. The Oklahoma Victory Dolls will be on hand for photos and carnival games.
TrickConTreat is a fan-run charitable convention focused on Halloween and the culture surrounding the holiday. The convention works each year to make all aspects of Halloween accessible to kids and adults, fans and haunt industry professionals. Activities include movie viewings with local horror hosts, the FlickConTreat moving making marathon, readings with local authors, an exhibition hall with unique Halloween-themed merchandise and games, make-up and costuming workshops, and much more. TrickConTreat 2008 will be held October 3rd through 5th at Holiday Inn North, 6200 N Robinson, Oklahoma City.
