July 01, 2006 - NEW YORK, NY, This special annual issue of New York Magazine presents the findings of Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., A New York City research and information company which publishes the guidebook, Top Doctors: New York Metro Area. The physicians included in NY Magazine are representative of the top 2 percent of New York area doctors.
Castle Connolly selected pioneering hair transplant surgeon Dr. Bernstein through a peer-review process of 12,000 nomination forms to medical professionals in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, Rockland County, Westchester County, and parts of Connecticut and New Jersey including randomly selected board-certified doctors, and vice-presidents of medicine and chiefs of service in every hospital in the NY area.
These medical professionals are asked to nominate the best doctors in a particular field. New York Magazine published the opinions of nominators who took into account Dr. Bernstein’s education, residency, board certification, hospital appointment, disciplinary record and reputation for dealing with patients of surgical hair restoration.
Dr. Bernstein has also appeared in New York Magazine’s special issue “Best Beauty Docs in New York” for his pioneering work in Follicular Unit Transplantation and Follicular Unit Extraction.
Dr. Bernstein is honored to be the only hair transplant physician listed for the 7th consecutive year.
