  • New Orleans, LA (1888PressRelease) March 06, 2015 - Guy Lyman Fine Art will exhibit new paintings by New Orleans emerging artist Leroy Miranda at its Magazine Street location on Saturday, March 7th from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. The public is invited, and refreshments will be served.

"Leroy's first show completely sold out," said Guy Lyman, owner of Guy Lyman Fine Art. "That's amazing for a new artist, and we expect a similar turnout and sales this time around. The new work is really terrific."

Miranda was born and raised in New Orleans. His whimsical use of line and color, along with the sense of delight and humor in much of his work, are informed by the local spirit. He is as adept at semi-abstract portraits as he is at colorful line drawings with embedded imagery, and examples of both appear in this exhibition as they did in his first.

"There's continuity with the work from Leroy's first show, but new ideas are represented in the new paintings as well," said Guy Lyman. "We love showing the work of this talented young New Orleans artist, particularly while it's still affordable enough for a broad range of collectors."

The gallery is located at 3645 Magazine Street in New Orleans. The opening will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 7th, and Miranda's art will remain on display throughout the end of March. Refreshments will be served at the opening; the general public is invited.

"Given the success of Leroy's first show, we're encouraging people to show up early for the best selection of his work," said Lyman.
