January 08, 2008 - HIP LINE Fashion Designer, Eve Kinizo is 'Guilty of Pleasure'

Born and raised in the city of Herzelya, Israel, she attained a diploma from the School of Fashion in Tel Aviv. She also attended five years of film school including four years at Camera Obscura in Tel Aviv. She didn't stop there, with so much passion for the arts, she also spent years studying dance.
Upon completion of school in Israel, Eve moved to L.A. and earned her professional experience working as a designer's assistant for an embroidery contractor. Next, she went on to be exposed to the leading brands in North America by working for prestigious companies such as Esprit, Baby Phat and The Gap.
Eve then moved to Toronto and in 2004 she created her own fashion company called HIP LINE. Starting with funky belts that are worn on the hip using European buckles and choice satin fabric, it wasn't long before she was approached by Jean Machine to create her belts for their stores. With this success, Eve moved on to expand her "hip line' to a full "line" of "hip" clothing for women. But, as any independent designer knows, starting a company in fashion takes a lot of hard work, determination, courage and most of all, the mind set to never give up however hard times may be!
Her latest collection, Spring '08 demonstrates the maturity of her designs with an infusion of Hippie influences and Urban elegance. The silhouettes are wide, leaving a lot of room between the fabric and your skin. They flow and give a sense of freedom and comfort together with urban chic. The fabrics are soft, with Spring prints, textures and bright colours.
