December 31, 2009 - Greenshield Financial Services, a national leader in Financial Health Management, has finished its successful role as a community collection drop-off location for the Toys for Tots program.
From Nov. 30 to Dec. 14, 2009, Greenshield employees donated and collected 228 toys for the Toys for Tots organization at the Greenshield office, located at 1301 Central Expressway South, Suite 200, Allen, Texas, 75013. The toys were then delivered Dec. 14 to the region's Toys for Tots headquarters in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Despite the tough economic times, Greenshield employees gladly pitched in and donated toys, seeing that the needy children of the area would not go without presents this holiday season. Toys collected for the children included Barbie dolls, hula hoops, Transformers kites, sports gear, and a remote control helicopter. A pair of shoes were also donated.
Run nationally and locally by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, the Toys for Tots program collects and distributes toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the area.
