greenscreen® to Exhibit at 2009 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo

Learn More About Green Wall Design at Booth #2867; View greenscreen® Green Walls Throughout the Phoenix Metro Area.

Phoenix-Mesa, AZ (1888PressRelease) October 17, 2009 - greenscreen®, a leading Los Angeles-based green wall manufacturer, will exhibit at the 2009 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, November 11-13, at the Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix, AZ.

Exhibiting at booth #2867, greenscreen® will discuss the range of benefits its green wall systems provide to the built environment, from promoting urban reforestation and reducing the heat island effect, to aiding in rainwater harvesting and improving air quality.

“As the building industry and LEED® standards continue to evolve, we continue to evolve with them,” explains James Sable of greenscreen®. “Greenbuild provides us with a platform to reach out to the industry as a whole, educating architects on the total impact of green walls on the built environment.”

Manufactured from recycled steel, greenscreen® green walls are comprised of a wire space frame configuration creating a captive growing space that allows plants to intertwine and grow within the panel. An easily adaptable attachment clip system allows the panel to attach to a building façade, and can span openings between floors or horizontally between posts. Unlike living walls, green wall systems are unobtrusive, installed away from the building envelope. This makes them a good choice for both new and retrofit interior and exterior building projects.

Greenbuild attendees can observe greenscreen® green walls on an assortment of structures throughout the Phoenix metro area, including:

• Arizona State University, School of Sustainability (Tempe, AZ)
• Arizona Crime Lab Gardens (Phoenix, AZ)
• Desert Ridge Marketplace (Phoenix, AZ)
• Friendship Village (Mesa, AZ)
• Maricopa County Parking Garage (Mesa, AZ)
• Phoenix Metro Light Rail (Phoenix, AZ)
• Spa at Enchantment Resort (Sedona, AZ)
• Studios 5C (Tempe, AZ)
• Tempe Marketplace (Tempe, AZ)
• Tempe Transit Center (Tempe, AZ)

“The variety of greenscreen® installations in the Phoenix region will give Greenbuild attendees a firsthand look at the many ways plant material can be integrated into the built environment,” continues Sable.

The Greenbuild International Conference and Expo plays host to a variety of green industry professionals from around the world, and includes more than 100 educational sessions featuring world-renowned speakers, LEED workshops, off-site educational sessions, and green building tours of local sites. This year, Greenbuild will focus on the ways that green building for all people will boost the quality of life across the country and around the world. Greenbuild is the world's largest conference and expo dedicated to green building.
