San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) April 10, 2009 - The international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP announced that Saswati Paul has joined its Silicon Valley office as of counsel in the Global Benefits and Compensation Practice. Paul’s practice will center on counseling and litigation services relating to all aspects of employee benefits, with a particular focus on fiduciary responsibilities under ERISA. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, she was a senior associate with Trucker Huss, APC.

“We are pleased Saswati has joined our team,” said Heather Meeker, co-managing shareholder of the Silicon Valley office. “She will provide the depth of knowledge, experience and reputation to further our status in the Global Benefits and Compensation Practice, especially during these times of increased legislative activity, heightened enforcement by regulatory agencies and an uptick in ERISA litigation.”

She has extensive experience advising clients on fiduciary responsibilities, assisting clients undergoing audits and negotiating with the Department of Labor, and providing litigation support on a wide array of ERISA litigation. Paul is a frequent speaker on ERISA fiduciary issues to industry and professional groups.
