Grain processor PAVA to present at the 1st SCO Commercial and Industrial forum

Altay company PAVA, targeting the Chinese market, will speak of new strategy at the 1st Commercial and Industrial forum by Shanghai Co-operation Organization.

(1888PressRelease) October 01, 2009 - Grain processing company PAVA will participate in the first SCO Commercial and Industrial forum, invited by hosts of the event which takes part on October 14, 2009 in China. It is organized by SCO Business Council, China Ministry of Commerce and China Committee for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).

The forum will be attended by governments of SCO members, representatives of trade and economic ministries, chairmen of the Business Council National Branches, members of SCO Interbank Consortium, representatives of SCO trade and industrial community, senior managers from over 300 companies and many others.

Participants of the forum will discuss a number of key issues such as resisting financial crisis and balanced development of regional economy; strengthening the co-operation mechanism between the Business Council and Interbank Consortium with a view to support businesses. For PAVA, one of the most important questions will be streamlining trade and investment between SCO member states. This is especially relevant against flour overproduction in Siberia, considering that Chinese market is estimated as having great potential in terms of sales and logistics. Today, however, co-operation between China and Russia in this area has not been established yet.

In China, PAVA will be represented by Andrey Igoshin, the company President and Galina Balaenkova, Head of IR and International Business Development. PAVA’s report is entitled “Grain processing in the Altay Territory. PAVA new projects for advanced wheat processing and agricultural operations”.

According to Galina Balaenkova, during the visit the company has planned meetings with Russian ambassador, representatives of Russian Chamber of Commerce, SCO, commercial organizations and financial institutions, interested in strategic co-operation and investment in development of the company projects.

“We were delighted to receive the invitation from SCO Business Council. This event gives us an opportunity to present the new business projections to a wide community. They include construction of deep wheat processing plant on the basis of current facilities, increasing land bank and maximizing scale of farming activities”, said Ms Balaenkova.
