Gospel Music Industry Prepares For True Worship Retreat 2008 9-11 Commemoration For Those Left Behind

Gospel greats richard smallwood, tye tribbett, kim burrell, myron butler, dewayne woods, maurette brown-clark and many more gather for a worship retreat that is poised to change lives!


Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) August 30, 2008 - With the memories and reality of 9-11 still fresh in the hearts and minds of many, Gospel recording artist, Lance Williams has taken a stand to not forget those left behind by the tragic day of 9-11. As a special part of the annually held True Worship Retreat, taking place on September 11-13, in Irvington, NJ at the Christian Pentecostal Church, 971 Clinton Avenue, Williams has brought together some of the top names in Inspirational music to join together for a weekend filled with worship and words designed to uplift all. “This year’s theme “Worship Beyond Measure: An Intimate Experience” speaks to the determination that we all aspire to possess in our daily attempts to reach greater relationships with God,” states Williams, retreat founder.

Designed to bring the industry’s most accomplished and respected pioneers together for a weekend of worship and information at minimal cost, the True Worship Retreat is noted as the “must attend” worship event of the year. A diverse lineup of artists and instructors participating include but are not limited to: Richard Smallwood, Maurette Brown-Clark, Tye Tribbett, Myron Butler, Bishop Liston Page, Nancy Jackson, Bishop George Searight, Kim Burrell, Alvin Slaughter, Sharon Dean and Bob Sorge.

The retreat kicks off on Thursday, September 11th with a worship experience featuring national recording artist, Tye Tribbett, along with multi-Stellar award winning artist, Dewayne Woods & others. Through a commemoration prayer, conducted by Gospel artist, Earl Bynum, the retreat will yield attention to those impacted by the tragedy of 9-11. Various representatives from Irvington, NJ such as Mayor Wayne Smith and other key figures in the tri-state area have declared their support as this event is poised to be a pivotal component in the healing process of those affected by the tragic day of events.

On Friday, September 12th, “The Intimate Place” Concert will highlight the ministries of Lance Williams & True Worship, Maurette Brown-Clark as well as JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise, along with many other premiere Gospel artists. Each nightly event will begin at 7:30pm. General admission for each event is free. Preferred seating is limited and available for only $15 per person. General services are also scheduled throughout the retreat with various presenters. The general public is invited to the evening worship services and events.
