  • Austin-San Marcos, TX (1888PressRelease) October 19, 2010 - Goodwill Industries Of Central Texas is hosting Austin's premiere adult costume fundraiser of the season-The Fourth Annual Ghoulwill Ball. Held at the most haunted place in Austin, The Driskill Hotel, this event is on Friday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m. and benefits Goodwill's employment services to people with barriers to employment.

The Central Texas community is invited to attend this "The '80s Resurrected" themed Ball dressed in their favorite '80s-inspired threads, as a pop culture icon-or just go plain weird. The evening will feature live music from local cover band The Newsboyz, a fabulous auction, an '80s inspired arcade and a costume contest with fabulous prizes. Party-goers can enjoy an open bar all night long and heavy hors d'oeuvres with purchase of a tax-deductable ticket.

"Goodwill is already known as the 'Halloween Headquarters,' so it just makes sense to have a costume event during the month of October to celebrate Halloween," said Gerald Davis, President and CEO of Goodwill. "Our Ghoulwill Ball fundraiser offers attendees a fun and unique experience, all while supporting Goodwill's mission of providing training that helps Central Texans find jobs in the community."

Ghoulwill Ball attendees can locate all of the ingredients they need to build the perfect "The '80s Resurrected" inspired costumes at their local Goodwill store. As one of the largest suppliers of Halloween essentials, Goodwill carries new and vintage costumes, wigs, fangs, props, home decorations and more at affordable prices. The funds generated through the sale of donated items, including Halloween costumes, benefits Goodwill's employment services, such as job training, placement, and casework services for adults and youth.

Central Texans interested in having ghoulish fun for a great cause this Halloween season can visit www.ghoulwillball.org or call 512.637.7100 for more information and to purchase tickets to The Ghoulwill Ball.
