Go Large Records Launches Media Division To Compliment Record Label

Musicians are finding that record labels no longer pay for media and marketing of musical songs and Go Large Records has devised a way for independent artists to market and sell their music and get their name out there.

Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) February 26, 2009 - It is no secret that the music industry has been turned upside down and artists seemingly no longer need a record company to perform the duties once coveted a decade ago. With the ease of fan base building and more tools in an artist’s back pocket, Go Large Records launched their media division to make it easier than ever for an artist to get their music out to the world.

Go Large Media and Entertainment, a division of Go Large Records, has aligned with ITunes to promote independent artist’s music without the need for a major record label. By submitting direct to Itunes, Amazon, Rhapsody and countless other portals, Go Large Media and Entertainment can assist the artist in getting the music digitally distributed and also handle all the publishing rights that favor the artist.

“The biggest mistake artists make is having no clear vision or direction. Many artists ‘just want to make it big’ but have no idea where to turn first or how to do it,” Cali Sky, Senior Business Developer said. “We can help them copy write and protect their music, get it on the internet for sale, get them on TV shows, radio airplay and even land a record deal.”

With over 500 artists a week approaching Go Large Records and their new media division, they have to weed through the talent to find artists that have already had some exposure and also have had experience on stage. Their most recent addition was an American Idol finalist that contacted them to have her CD marketed to the proper audience.

“The second biggest mistake that musicians make is spending all their time and money on the production of the CD and not hiring someone to market it properly.” Sky said. “Artists think a My Space page is sufficient, and they lack the knowledge to get the record sold or the fans to show up at their shows. This is where we come in and boost their sales and fan base.”

It is no secret to existing and even accomplished artists that without the push of sales of the finished product you end up with 10,000 CDS in your garage and waning fans.

“Artists need to have a great marketing team and public relations team that stands behind their music. That is where Go Large Records Media Division steps in,” Sky said.

Go Large Media division boasts some hefty clientele. Having assisted the group that arranged music for the “icarly!” show, they currently have several artists releasing music for video games and even one artist that launched his own clothing line in Macy’s Department Stores.

“We have expanded all of our divisions,” Sky said. “We can now handle books for promotion and publishing, clothing lines and even modeling careers. To make money you need to spend money,” Sky said. A stellar media team is crucial to your career.
